InterVarsity at UF and Santa Fe
God branded his zeal and passion for college students within Myles and Katie Hyson, calling them to plant a multi-ethnic InterVarsity chapter on both University of Florida and Santa Fe, in the hope of seeing Jesus being glorified on campus. Currently they are partnering with Servants of Christ Anglican to see this happen. As they pray for the Lord’s guidance in this, they believe he is leading them to be in Gainesville long-term, for at least 5-7 years, in order to plant and build an InterVarsity chapter at both University of Florida and Santa Fe College. Their vision is to see students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed, and world changers developed by the establishment of multi-ethnic witnessing communities in the city of Gainesville.
By God’s grace they hope to establish a culture of discipleship and obedience on both campuses as they:
- Help students grow in spiritual disciplines such as prayer, worship, scripture study.
- Develop missional leaders to advance the kingdom on campus.
- Establish student-led missional small groups.
- Lead students on evangelistic outreaches.
- Lead students to live a life of service in the workplace and the local church.
