Dear brothers and sisters of the Gulf Atlantic Diocese,
As we hit the two-week mark of our journey through Lent, I want to share with you a brief message of encouragement. The season may rightfully be solemn, but by no means should it be joyless.
Dear brothers and sisters of the Gulf Atlantic Diocese,
As we hit the two-week mark of our journey through Lent, I want to share with you a brief message of encouragement. The season may rightfully be solemn, but by no means should it be joyless.
Bishop Alex has made the following apology and statement regarding his sermon from January 28, 2024.
Happy New Year, Gulf Atlantic Diocese! I pray your 2024 has started well and also that you are thriving in the Season of Epiphany. I love the season of Epiphany’s emphasis on Making Christ Jesus known, that he might be worshiped and obeyed from our neighborhoods to the ends of the Earth.…

What a joy it is to have walked the way of the Cross with all of you through Lent and now rejoice in our hope in the Risen Lord Jesus. It was my privilege to participate in several of our congregations through the weeks of Lent. What a joy to see your faithfulness in worship.
My prayer is that more and more we are learning to stand together, in spirit and mind, proclaiming to North America the transforming Good News of Jesus Christ.
As we prepare for the celebration of our Lord’s Incarnation, I find myself especially focused on God’s willingness to dwell among us (John 1:14).
I write to you with much on my heart. First, the destruction caused by Hurricane Ian. Second, my experience of a wonderful time at the New Wineskins Conference. Third, I’m pleased to announce our new Canon for Global Mission.
