The Gathering
Where young adults
encounter God,
find community, and live with purpose.
What is The Gathering?
The Gathering is a ministry for young adults (ages 18–30) who are looking for authentic faith, real community, and a place to belong.
Life can often feel isolating or overwhelming—but you don’t have to walk it alone. God designed us for community, to journey through life together in love, growth, and joy. The Gathering exists to connect young adults with Jesus, the church, and each other through meaningful experiences, honest conversations, and lasting relationships.
The Summit
Once a year, The Gathering hosts a weekend Summit—our biggest event of the year and a highlight for many. Think of it as part spiritual retreat, part equipping conference. It’s a chance to step away from the routine and encounter God in a fresh way.
At the Summit, you’ll find:
- Worship & Prayer – space to meet God in community
- Plenary Speakers – inspiring voices who challenge and equip us
- Workshops & Small Groups – opportunities to grow, ask questions, and build friendships
- Fun & Fellowship – meals, laughter, and memories you’ll carry with you
The Summit is open to all young adults across our region (whether you’re part of our diocese or not).
Quarterly Gatherings
Every few months, The Gathering hosts creative, relational events around our diocese—designed to connect young adults with God and one another in meaningful ways. These events rotate by deanery and are led by local young adults, so each one is unique.
Examples of future Gatherings include:
- Theology on Tap – honest conversations about faith over food and drink
- God of Nature – hikes, outdoor adventures, and prayer in creation
- The Creator of Beauty – exploring God’s creativity through art, music, and beauty
- Faith & Story – films, books, or storytelling that reveal God’s truth in everyday life
Whether outdoors on a trail, inside a coffee shop, or gathered around a table, these quarterly Gatherings create welcoming spaces to ask questions, discover God, and make friends.
Beyond Events
The Gathering isn’t just about big moments—it’s about helping young adults grow in faith and relationships all year long. That’s why we’re developing ongoing opportunities for connection and discipleship.
Prayer Pods
Small groups of 3–4 young adults who commit to meeting once a month to pray, encourage one another, and walk through life together. Prayer Pods are simple, relational, and powerful—helping you grow deeper with God while building trusted friendships.
Once a year, young adults from across the diocese come together for a Young Adult Service Day—a chance to live out our faith in practical ways by serving our communities. Whether it’s partnering with a local nonprofit, helping with a neighborhood project, or caring for those in need, Service Days remind us that following Jesus means loving our neighbors in action as well as word.
Mentoring
The Gathering is also building a mentoring network—pairing young adults with older Christians who can offer wisdom, encouragement, and prayer for the journey.
Together, these ongoing connections make sure The Gathering isn’t just something you attend, but a community you belong to.
