This is a highly responsible position that oversees the internal and external communications of the church. Primary areas of responsibility include promotion of events within the church through internal communications channels including written, video, and through web presence. The director works closely with other departments within the church to promote their events, making sure that parishioners have all the key information necessary to preach the gospel and accomplish the mission of the church.

Principal duty is to provide keyboard support using our Wurlitzer acoustic piano and/or Clavinova digital piano for the Sunday morning liturgy of average 75 minutes plus prelude / postlude. The Assistant will focus on discipleship and ministry to young families, but will be engaged with every aspect of the life of the church:
• Preach and celebrate on scheduled Sunday worship services (twice a month).
• Lead Bible studies, assist and/or preside at weddings, funerals, special services, and pastoral visitations.
• Attend and participate in Vestry meetings.
• Participate in the life of the Gulf Atlantic Diocese.
• Meet regularly with the Rector.
• Engage with the local community to facilitate church growth.
