The heart of The Fellowship has always been to create a space for conversation, to listen to hurting hearts, and to grow in relationship — especially with those who might not feel comfortable attending a traditional church service. From the very beginning, the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit were evident.
The Fellowship began as a calling to serve the Lord by loving others outside the traditional church setting in Tallahassee, FL. Under the leadership of Fr. Bill Krizner, the ministry launched in October 2022 in a humble church building tucked behind ECHO (Emergency Care Help Organization), a long-time ministry partner of St. Peter’s. Freddy Branham, the Executive Director of ECHO and a faithful parishioner, played an important role in securing a great location.
St. Peter’s is intentional about partnering with ministries that are gospel-centered, faith-based, and offer opportunities for parishioners to serve with their hands and feet. Our primary partners — Making Miracles, Chelsea House, and Good Samaritan Network (GSN) reflect this mission well. Making Miracles and Chelsea House serve women in crisis, while GSN supports men through reentry after incarceration. All three remain faithful partners with our combined relationships growing.
Each Tuesday night, from 6:30 to around 8:00, the Fellowship gathers for connection, worship, a meal, and the Word. The evening usually begins with social time and music led by Noah, a 22-year-old man of deep faith, alongside Ray, a seasoned ministry graduate. After a simple dinner, a gospel-centered message is shared, typically by Fr. Herb Bailey (who now leads the ministry), or an occasional lay speaker. The highlight of the evening are small group discussions, where hearts are opened, burdens are shared, and relationships are built. Childcare is important and therefore provided, ensuring that young mothers can participate fully.
The format has remained consistent over time with a few changes, all positive. One-on-one mentoring has emerged and flourished. Some participants now attend St. Peter’s regularly, even after graduating from ministry programs. God continues to bring people from all walks of life together through The Fellowship.
A significant moment came when Fr. Bill transitioned into a new diocesan role about a year ago. We give glory to God for how seamlessly Fr. Herb Bailey stepped in to lead Missions and Evangelism, including The Fellowship. Both men have different styles but share a deep love for the Lord and a gift for shepherding His people. Under Fr. Herb’s leadership, God has seen fit to continue the ministry’s growth: attendance has increased, partnerships have deepened, and new parishioners have stepped forward to serve with their hands, feet, and hearts.
Each week, a core group of 10–12 volunteers serve faithfully, and small groups from the church occasionally come to provide meals and fellowship. As Scripture reminds us, “every good tree bears good fruit” (Matthew 7:17). The Fellowship is bearing much good fruit, being rooted in Christ.
Lives are being changed. Hearts are being softened. Friendships are formed. The Gospel is being preached. And people are coming to salvation in Jesus Christ.
Our last evening before the summer break in May 2025 was especially memorable. We grilled out and offered baptisms to those ready to publicly commit their lives to the Lord. Fr. Herb found a horse trough with a heater to warm the water! Initially three adults requested baptism, but that evening a lady led by the Holy Spirit came forward and asked to be baptized, fully-clothed, as well. It was a joy seeing Fr. Herb administer Anglican baptism rites in a way that was well received in a much different setting from our Cathedral. It was a powerful, Holy Spirit-filled evening that we won’t soon forget.
We hope this encourages you as much as it encourages us — and that it inspires many more to step forward in service to the Lord with their hands and feet. Fr. Herb, Fr. Bill, and others would be glad to share more about The Fellowship.
Blessings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
